June 11th - Friday
We're at Ginger and Nick's house. Ginger picked Betsy and me up at the airport after fighting her way through the traffic. We're sitting around setting up blogs and being enticed by chocolate-chip cookies that Andy requested. We're going to try really hard not to eat them before we get to Kyoto and can deliver them to him. We are allowed to eat the friendship bread, though, and it's delicious. It is a nice dessert for our dinner of power bars, almonds and hard-boiled eggs! We have to leave for the airport at four a.m. and my eyes already are hurting. That might mean that I won't have trouble sleeping on the plane! Wish me luck!
