More walking and map reading! What orienteers we are! And there is the Ninomaru Palace! There are actually two palaces here within the moat and gorgeous gardens and associated buildings. We usually think of a temple or palace as a single building but they really are a collection of buildings and grounds. Explore every nook and cranny before returning to the train station. Oh! They have ice cream! I get the frozen red beans on a stick and it is a mild and sweet concoction. Betsy and Ginger get more recognizable flavors and we are all completely satisfied with our choices.
