June 13th - Sunday
Andy was wonderful as tour guide! he had already checked into the Bakpak Hostel and knew the way home. We took the subway which required a series of up and down stairs, with all our luggage. at one point we couldn't get through the gate but andy was able to push a botton and ask the voice in Japanese what we should do! Very impressive! we were all exhausted and decided that going to bed and starting the new day at the quote right time end quote would be the best idea. he had described our place as having character and indeed it does. it is just a hoot! our room has silver stars all over the ceiling and nick and ginger's has pictures of madonna all over it. the halls all have photos and decals and lots of sunflowers everywhere you look. our room has twin beds and duvets, a chair and small table with shelves. The common areas are on the first floor and include the shower room which has four showers with their own doors for privacy, a laundry area, a kitchen area with a fridge and table with hot-water maker, and the lounge, where i am now, with a computer, tv/dvd player and two leather couches. the computer stand is so tall that I have to stand to type!
We climb the stairs to our room on the second floor and drop our stuff. of course betsy doesn't have much to drop! after quick showers we're down for the count.
